White mana got the best deal out of MTG's latest set, and it shows. When you opt to have Rakdos the Defiler attack, the cost is sacrificing half of the non-Demon permanents you control. Fortunately, it requires an even steeper sacrifice from your opponents. Flavorful and synergistic, tribal decks provide an overall theme to a given strategy. Progenitor Exarch, no matter how many Incubator tokens it makes, can freely transform its tokens just by tapping, freeing up players' mana for other spells. Rakdos the Defiler is an extremely volatile commander that requires a steep sacrifice in exchange for its power. Tribal decks are some of the most popular to build within Magic: The Gathering s Commander format. This archetype benefits strongly from incubate, which also relies on +1/+1 counters, making for some excellent synergy. Boros aggro easily curves into game-winning white creatures like Boon-Bringer Valkyrie to keep the pressure on in the mid-late game, and it's a great choice for players of all skill levels.įinally, the Selesnya (green/white) archetype focuses on MTG's +1/+1 counters. This color combination can go wide, attack early, and use burn and protection to easily flip Battles, using efficient white creatures all over the mana curve.
